73rd Thames Hare & Hounds Alumni Race 2025

Durham School are putting together a team to take part in the 73rd Thames Hare & Hounds Alumni Race on Saturday, September 13th, 2025, at 3:00 PM! 

This annual cross-country race will take place over 5 miles on the scenic Wimbledon Common, starting at the Thames HQ (SW15 3DU) near the Robin Hood roundabout on the A3, two miles southwest of Putney. 

The race features multiple team competitions, including: 

King Henry VIII Trophy: Open team race (lowest combined score of top four finishers). 

Old Johnian Cup: Women's team competition (lowest combined score of top three women finishers). 

Shrewsbury Cup: Open team race based on Age Graded % scores. 

Old Brentwood Trophy: Veterans 40+ race (three to score). 

Chataway Cup: Veterans 50+ race (three to score). 

Old Denstonian Cup: Veterans 60+ race (three to score). 

Jane Bubear Cup: Veterans 65+ race (two to score). 

Norman Berry Cup: Individual winner (must be from a team of at least three finishers). 

Old Coventrian Cup: First individual lady (must be from a team of at least three finishers).

Wyndham Halswelle Cup: First finisher ranked by age-graded time. 

Tea and cakes will be served after the race, followed by the results announcement. 

The entry fee is £10 per person, which includes a donation to the charity that manages Wimbledon Common.
